Yeah he pulled a Margarito. Maybe he thought it was a 24 round fight. I think hed be a little more aggressive in the rematch. And Sergio will be even more willing to run from him.

I dont think Roach will be there for the rematch. He didnt give any advice until late in the fight and he gave up on him.

He threw mostly jabs occasional hooks but didnt he say he was gonna knock chavez out. Dissapointed by both one didnt do sht for 11 rounds and the other just jabbed all night

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Sergio senseless stumbling around the ring.

No way he fights GGG. No one thought Jr would hurt him to the head.

He was a bit hurt once, he won the fight. Martinez fought toe to toe with Chavez Jr, while being hurt, didn't even hold. Chavez Jr did nothing.

When the guy who has success for 90 seconds is a HBO house fighter, it does warrant a rematch.

The only difference between this fight and the Mayweather/Mosley fight is that Mosley's 90 seconds took place in the second round. If it had taken place in the 12th round like this one did, Larry Merchant would have asked Floyd after the fight how he felt about almost getting knocked out instead of how he felt about dominating the fight for 11.5 rounds.

jab then straight left to the body all night. if little chavez opened up early in the fight he would've gotten sparked. martinez had full control over him and was toying with him.

It is VERY hard to spar and keep a much bigger guy at a distance for twelve whole rounds, Sergio was deservedly very tired. He looked 185 or 190 in the ring.

This is where Im getting at. The KD was more from fatigue and Martinez's style than anything. As a matter of fact, shame on Chavez for not being able to hurt Martinez earlier. And he was the one getting bullied.

Excuse me? He hurt Chavez at the end of the 4th and was backing him down at times. A 200lb guy...

I got sick of him showboating and putting his hands down. His style is played. Im glad he got detached from the world for those 15 seconds.

I just didnt liek the way he fought today. He wasnt sure of himself. He was too busy trying to look cute. Jr was ready to go to war.

Dont get me wrong I had it 117-110 Martinez. At that stage in the fight both of them are on fumes. I actually thought the ref was going to stop it Jr was getting off some clean haymakers.
