I was watching Sugar Ray Leonard on Ringside on ESPN Classics

Network and Sugar Ray Leonard was on. I was watching Sugar and Davey Boy Green, and this fight reminded me of Floyd Hatton-the power. The irony!

I watched both fights last night. Green tried some rough house tactics early, and just pissed Sugar off. Hatton was able to get away with his rough house tactics for a good portion of their fight.

Sugar could put your lights out! Floyd would just embarrass you.

Both Green and Hatton had their lights dimmed by theq aforementioned.

I just can't see how Floyd would beat Sugar. Floyd was naturally 17 lbs smaller than Sugar.

Do any of you think that Floyd could beat Sugar because I don't?

And if you think he could, explain how.

I think Floyd could beat Sugar Ray Leonard if Leonard didn't have such a natural substantial size advantage over him.

?? Cortez was all over him from the opening bell. If anything Floyd was allowed to get away with rough tactics throwing elbows etc.

What did Cortez prevent Hatton from doing? Why was Cortez all over Hatton from the opening bell?

Agree Cortez was against Ricky all night. Cortez is the worst ref out there by far.

Unbelievable you are carrying that excuse with you all these years later. As a matter of fact, its sad.

Come on man. Leonard was a great boxer that can punch but Floyd is just to technically sound. Leonard was a WW that lost to a LW moving up 2 divisions. Stop with this older generation being unbeatable just because we like them. Now before someone pulls the Leonard would KO Floyd sh_it Leonard couldnt even KO Big Floyd.

When do you plan on explaining how Floyd beats Leonard? All i saw is a fanboy rant, and you doing exactly what you accused the OP of doing.

The OP watched Leonard fight and made his analysis based on that. I personally agree. Too big for little floyd coupled with a lot of everything else. He'd probably fight lil floyd the way cotto did (because that's how he fought floyds father) and if thats the case, that level of aggression from SRL is all bad for little floyd.
