People say it's fake because after he takes the punch he looks up at Abraham, mutters something, then realises he can make something out of it so goes down holding his head and doing the shakes. Fight over.

Whatever, it's done. If Dirrell wants a rematch, he should go do it.

That was just a delayed reaction which can happen when you get hit, there are lots of fights I'm sure you've seen when a boxer gets hit but doesn't go down immediately, then a second or two later they're down, or take a knee. It was just a delayed reaction and I believe Dirrell wasn't faking at all. After the fight he was yelling "I didn't get knocked out.. did I get knocked out??" because his brain was scrambled from the illegal punch.

I got sucker punched by a guy 6 ft 3inches and weighing around 230 and I'm only 5ft 9 inches around 160 and this guy hit me after taking 2 full steps and I wasn't even looking at him.

I was floored and my head smacked the side of a tree, no gloves at all. I got right back up and my eye was split open, two teeth were loosened, and my face was swollen up like I had been hit by a bat for a week.

I had blood iin my eye for 3 months and still, I hd no urge to convulse one bit. Should have gotten stitches on the bridge of my left eye and I had to get an xray because the doctor thought I had a fractured orbital bone (I didn't thought). I can't fathom Dirrell giving that kind of a reaction from the punch that AA hit him with......the guy hit him with like 10% power.

He hit Stieglitz with plenty of flush punches last night and Stieglitz made it through OK....it just seems to me, even to this day, like a pretty convenient way to get a win by DQ.

check out the right hook that ya boy martinez hit barker with at the end of their fight. it wasnt even the hardest shot he hit him with.

sometimes a punch does not effect a man instantly. it happens all the time. a guy gets cracked, remains upright, then wobbles and falls down.

the fact remains that if dirrell took a flush abraham punch on the jaw while on a knee and completely defenseless he's a mastermind actor with a rock solid chin.

and you guys who say it wasnt a flush shot... do you see it hit him right on the jaw? did you blink every time you replayed the fight or something?

even worse is saying that he was acting hurt, and that he fabricated all of this on the spot

if he can take the babe's flush punches on his jawpiece he's got a class A chin

we know he does not have a class A chin, however, so we can know for certain that he was not faking the injury at the time

i do believe htat his team embellished or were untruthful to avoid remaining in the tournament and taking a loss to andre ward, but that has nothign to do with the abraham fight and dirrell's immediate reactions after that

"is this speaker?" is not something you ask jim gray after a fight if your head is on straight. the man hardly knew where he was. his brother had to scream into his ear and tell him he won the damn fight..

delayed reaction, very common. ive not only seen it but experienced it in the ring, both dishing it out and on the receiving end.

the guy you responded to is right, ppl who think he faked it dont know **** about boxing and certainly never fought themselves.
