I asked you for your opinion and as usual get a half-page essay without an answer. So lets try that again:
1. What will you think about Valuev if he KOs Ruiz in a clean fashion without violations?
2. Do you agree that Valuev did not intentionally punch Etienne in the back of the head?
Maybe you missed it the first time, so I'll say it again. I don't play the "What if" game.
Remember all the "What if Vitali fights and beats..." questions I was asked over and over again? How usefull were they?
The bottom line is that I think Valuev is a big pile of dung. I've seen about 6 of his fights, and he's slow, plodding and I just saw him get thoroughly beaten by Larry Donald.
He doesn't deserve this shot after that last loss and his streak threatening Marciano's record is an absolute joke. He may beat Ruiz, he may lose and get the decision or benifit of bad reffing. Either way, he's a giant pretender.
And finally, the final rabbit shot on the Black Rino may not have been intentional, but it was the (foul) shot that ended the fight. There were other rabbit punches, and other knock downs that stemmed from pushing. Another completely unimpressive preformance.
This is what I'm talking about. This is what's wrong with the board. Someone who only posts on European fighters and then praises the gimmick called Valuev. Please, stay in the lounge.

He has decent skills and is not the no talent freak show that some on this board would have you believe. I just want the guy to rid us of Ruiz. Aside from that I couldn't care less about him really.
yeah but we all know Donald is awkward and elusive could of just been a bad contrast of styles
Regardless, it's his only menaingful fight to date, and he clearly lost.
Kirk Johnson and Vitali Klitschko beat Donald. Donald has faded since then.
If he was going to garner credibility and earn this title shot, he should have found a way to won. It's not like he didn't have the physical tools at his disposal.
He doesn't deserve this shot at Ruiz, and as much as I want to see Ruiz lose, having the title go from one bum to another does no good imo.
i will say that valuev isnt very skilled, hes not very exciting, not much of a knockout artist, and hasnt proven anything to show he deserves to be champion... o wait, im thinking about john the bum ruiz...
but the same could be said for both fighters, but at least valuev doesnt try to cheat, hug, and bore the fans to death.

Finally an opinion, although hidden in another half-page essay. BTW, he cannot threated Marciano's record because he has 1 NC, so that takes care of that. Valuev deserves the shot at the title as much as Rahman deserved the shot at the title after his performance against Barrett. Just like Golota deserved 3 title shots. The list goes on. The fact that he is fighting for the title is a reflection of the overall state of the HW division but we will not go into that again, are we?
