Comments Thread For: Carl Froch Had Lined Up Yusaf Mack, But He Fell Through

CARL FROCH is enjoying life as a ‘homeboy’ after his years spent as a boxing gypsy.

IBF super-middleweight champion Froch – the self-styled ‘Cobra’ – has established himself as one of boxing’s macho men, with three bouts in the United States, Denmark and Finland in the Super Six.

Although he lost in the final against Andre Ward last year, he returned for a Nottingham homecoming in May and stunned Lucian Bute to win his third world title. [Click Here To Read More]

Can't say I'm tearing up about it. IBF, please don't give this man an irrelevant opponent next. What about Oosthuizen?

The Oosthiezen fight fell through a week ago.

Anyway, why Mack? I know Froch has been fighting back to back top 10 guys since 2008, but there are easy fights out there who are better than Mack.

Who's fault was it for falling through?

What about Edwin Rodriguez? This guy is gonna have to step up sooner or later. WTF is Pavlik up to? Pay him good money so he can travel and get his ass whupped.

Oosthiezen's people didn't think he was ready.

I think Pavlik is being saved for Chavez Jr. Unless he's leaving Arum. Rodriguez is not ready and Oozy said it was money issues I think why the fight fell thru.

IBO super-middleweight champion Thomas Oosthuizen was disappointed when a unification fight with IBF title holder Carl Froch fell through, but has told WBN that he would prefer any potential bout to take place in America in future. The 24 year-old, who is undefeated in 21 bouts with 13 stoppages to his name, was touted to face the Nottingham fighter on his home soil in Briton this November, but revealed that a monetary difference between the camps put an end to the potential match-up. “I would welcome the fight with Froch, but my management turned it down for financial reasons,” Oosthuizen told World Boxing News.

Damn. So the top 4 IBF contenders aren't available, what about Degale or Kessler?

I think Degale is too green bro. The guy only has like 12 fights.

True. It seems like there's nobody available for Cobra to fight.
