Irony In Boxing

Is it ironic that Timothy Bradley talked about hitting a kid in a wheelchair when he was younger and then ended up in a wheelchair against Pacquiao? I have a hard time pinpointing irony and feel that, many times, people associate situations with irony in an incorrect manner. With respect to irony, people often say, "you'll know irony when it happens."

Please mention other ironic situations in boxing. I can mention, at least, another instance but will let you guys figure it out.

Its ironic that Bradley already had a November 10th rematch banner, and then more irony when Michael Buffer strangely announced with emphasis as Pacquiao being "Undefeated for the last Seven Straight Years" like he was foresighting an upset. Just my opinion

The irony would have been if the kid in the wheelchair could now walk, works at the mgm, and realizes he is the one responsible for pushing Tim around in that chair....tips the wheelchair over during the press conference and gets his unexpected, dramatic revenge.
