Tapia was one of the most exciting boxers to watch, too bad he was dealt with alot of family problems, starting from the death of his mother. In my opinion that was the root of his problems, he tried to self medicate himself with drugs to feel the pain lesser. Perhaps and not always sometimes those are the consequences of the lifestyle they carry on. He's gonna be terribly missed...RIP JOHNNY !!Comment

Yes, the media and pharmaceutical companies usually spins it as the opposite (as in the article) due to ignorance or conflicts of interest (of their own, not the victims).
