I agree with you. Manny should have called Floyd's bluff right away. Mayfeather would have been exposed early. It's so clear to me at that time that drug testing is not the only issue. why would floyd go tour cowboys stadium? texas is not the most stringent place for drug testing nor do they allow xylocaine/lidocaine. Bob went there for Manny/clottey, not manny/floyd.

fight should still happen. when anyone has a top 10 p4p list and manny isn't at 1 or2, his fans say he should be. so if you still think he is that good, then he isn't "done", so the fight should still happen.

manny fans that say they dont want to see the fight anymore do so because they don't like watching manny fight as much as they like seeing manny win. its clear Manny still has issues with movement, countering, defense, and cutting off the ring. While he is good enough to beat Mosley and tim easily, JMM was a whole different story. SInce Floyd, is a faster, stronger, quicker, smarter, bigger JMM, with longer reach and better balance, you guys think manny will lose.

Excellent post! I've been saying he's a Jr. welter this entire run he's on. That is what makes what he does, even more special. People try to downplay his historic run by using the word "catchweight" BUT you still have to be a special fighter to pull it off. The Cheeto he fought was STILL a very strong and dangerous fighter. You have to have ring smarts and great legs to dominate a fighter like him. Manny took the hardest body shot in the 4th round, came back and threw like a 10-punch combo to end the round. To do that, you have to be special. He been getting hit by these bigger fighters and he takes it and comes right back. The Manny/Marquez III fight wasn't his best offensive performance, but his defense had never been better. Outside of the single shots Marquez landed, Manny's defense was better than ever. The way he shoots a shot and then angles and completely goes to the other side of his opponent shows ring experience and maturity as a fighter. How come noone ever sees these little intangables? He displayed the same against Bradley for the first half of the fight. He came out and proved that he is still #er 1 until further notice. Bradley normally comes forward and trys to break his opponent down; and like every other Manny victom, by the end of the fight, they are fighting out of character. He's an all-time great and has nothing left to prove to anyone. He's a BAD dude man. Floyd has more to prove. He had the great and competitve fight with Cotto, who he thought was finished, now let's see him continue this pace by fighting fighters who actually belong in the ring with him. We all know he has the skill set, but Manny is much tougher and braver in my honest opinion.

theres not much point in debating it to be honest. the fight is still highly unlikely to happen. mayweather was fairly clear when he said "40 mil, take it or leave it" and i dont think pacquiao is going to take that.
