He will be caught and get slower and slower, the body punches are draining.

Chavez will begin to mock Sergio, He will have taken his best shots with no effect and begin walking Sergio down

about 9-11 shots to the jaw will take poor Sergio to the mat

He will come to his end and no one will help him.

    Chavez the body puncher, sure....
Who exactly was able to hit Sergio to the body untill now?
Sergios stance makes it impossible for Chavez to find his body! Not to mention Chavez Slow-Motion-Style.
I agree, Chavez is a much better fighter than he was 2 years before, but still not good enough.
Chavez would have a chance, if he can take Sergios punch. But I don`t see that happen.
    SERGIO BY KNOCK OUT!

I think it will be tougher than many think but I have Sergio winning this. Unfortunately his only shot is to stop Jr. though which is a tall order. No way in hell the master of lies Arum allows Jr. to lose a decision, period. I almost feel bad for Sergio because he has to knock out the son of the hardest guy to ever knock out lol and Jr. seems to have inherited his chin probably. As I said before, if Jr. walks through Sergio or blasts him out, he is 100% on something...and I am about 90% sure already that he is.

      War Maravilla!!!

You do know body punching is an integral part of boxing, right? I'm happy he's thinking that way because mixing up his attack to the head/body will make it much easier to wear Jr. down. When is body work exclusive to just a certain fighter or certain style?

Oh and BTW, Sergio stopped Saul Roman with a body shot lol

Martinez is a smart boxer, he knows that he can KO Chavez without playing into Chavez' strengths. Like he says, it's like chopping down a tree. He will go to the body, something that Chavez won't expect. As the rounds go on, Chavez' poor conditioning and the stomach damage will turn him into a sitting duck.

Rounds 8-12 are going to be hell for Chavez if he can't impose his will on Martinez. He will have his moments early on but with each thudding left that he eats, his face will get that much closer to bursting open.

It feels like Martinez just came on the scene or something, many people are pretending like they don't know what he's capable of. The size disparity isn't gonna be the deciding factor in who wins, cuz Martinez is used to being at a size disadvantage. The deciding factor will be Jr's defense. If he gets hit with virtually everything that Martinez throws, he won't see the final bell. Sergio's defense isn't impenetrable, but his stance is awkward enough that it will present problems for Jr. and he'll have to adjust.

This is a fight that I am anticipating very much. Chavez is one of the best body punchers I have observed in a while. Jr. is no joke and I think Martinez is underestimating him. He is thinking Jr. is being over-hyped because of his father's fame and boxing prowess but the fight will cause his mind to change on that matter.

But overall I just don't think there will be a KO. Martinez is a counter-puncher. He ducks and dodges. He keeps his hands down so his upper body movement is fluid and to give himself unusual punching angles, but he won't be able to stay inside too long because Jrs. body shots will prove too punishing.

I think Martinez will win a decision with both men praising each other and hugging afterwards and rematch looming.
