I think Chavez Jr is gonna struggle to make weight and Sergio's speed and movement will cause problems down the stretch for Chavez. Keep in mind too, Andy Lee was landing pretty frequently against Chavez Jr, though Lee has no real power. Now you got a guy like Martinez who though isn't perfect, but is effective. Chavez Jr's defense is mediocre at best and if he thinks he'll just walk through easily the hardest puncher he's ever faced and probably fastest, he's in for a rude awakening.

Lee has decent power but nothing exceptional. In the first round he hit Chavez Jr with a straight left that seemed to bother him a little bit, Jr then shook his head like it was nothing but when you do that, it usually means you didn't like that shot. He also confirmed in the post fight interview that he felt Lee's power in the first round. An early stoppage for Martinez might be more likely than people think. He could catch Jr while he's still cold.

Gonna be a good fight, but I see Jr. obtaining his first official loss.

Chavez is just so open I can't see how Martinez's punches won't be effective and or won't be landing quite often.

it sounds to me like sergio is the desperate one hes changing his entire fighting style for Chavez jr??????since when does sergio go to the body???? thats Jrs game not sergios, very out of character this guy is ****ting bricks, if anyone is going to the body effectivley its going to be shavez jr not sergio, sergio needs to stick to running away and headhunting like he always does, and nowadays the only one doing the talking is Sergios all I hera is BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH hes trying to convince himself hes going to win this guy doent have much confidence in himself, again very out of character, I can see why he looked like shiat against macklin....

chavez will beat wee little Martinez on a decision

If Chavez comes in over 180lbs he will wear down the smaller little Martinez over 12 rounds. Look for an easy Chavez win. Roach is too smart and Chavez's dad had good advice also. Bet Chavez as martinez is way overrated and has been inactive and is old at 37.
