Vanes was dropped by, and IMO lost to, an older faded version of Kassim Ouma. The only possible way I could see him beating Lara is if the version of Lara who fought Carlos Molina shows up. Lara seems to be somewhat over confident and doesn't treat every fight as seriously as he should. But when it come to talent/skill I think he is far above Vanes.

Nelo hasn't fought ANYBODY at 154...none of the elimination winners, none of the champions, or ranked dudes in the division....so why should he start after 30-40 fights deep into his career?...he'll fight another WW...bank on that!!

Wouldn't it be something if Josesito pulls off the upset? It has been the year for it. On the other hand I think Lara-Vanes should be good. Giving a slight edge to Lara, but not sleeping on Vanes.
