They actually have some techniques to dehydrate more than you could normally do it. A week before the weight in they start to cut out carbs and start drinking massive amounts of water (2 gallons per day or even more depending on the boxer) so their actually go to the restroom every 10 minutes.
Then a couple of days before the weight in they stop drinking all that water, however they still go to the restroom every 10 minutes so they start to dry out, and also they start eating some carbs because they also take some water which you only have under your skin, that's why boxers look like they have only skin above their muscle.
That way a boxer can lose a lot of water and therefore can make weight. Still it's a bad practice since it affects performance and can even get a fighter brain damage (dehydrating over 10% of your body weight can even cause seizures and coma)Comment

fighters cut body fat slowly through out their camp and then lose the water weight for the weigh in...after weigh in they do whats called hyper hydrate and they drink sea salt and water while carb loading, the body has been depleted and starved and will soak up all the nutrients...and the more muscle you have the more water weight you lose...some body builders can lose over 40lbs of water weight from having the ****z for 24 hours...lamont peterson put on 15lbs and khan 10 for their fight, look at petersons body and you can see where that extra 5lb of water came from.Comment
