Sergio needs to stop Chavez just to get a draw. At least he knows it.

Sergio should definitely prepare that way. This ain't the first time he got robbed. I mean he fucking prepared hard for the Williams fight was determine to stop it. When that shot landed, he immediately walk back. Martinez planned that shot. He is gonna bring his A game.

I'm calling smokescreen! Martinez best chance of a KO is to not look for it...wear the kid down mentally by not allowing him to hit you back. If you sense his will has evaporated, than go for the ko, otherwise business as usual.

If he indeed does choose to put more emphasis on his punches and go for the kill, buckle up, this will be a great fight while it last.....and Chavez will have a more than decent chance.

btw, did Chavez Jr inherit his old man's quitting on the stool? hard to say, we'll have to wait until he's old, washedup, supposedly addicted to drugs and fighting one of the sports best young fighters

First of all. Who's alt is this? Anyone in the forum want to take a stab at this?

Had Martinez followed your advice, Williams would probably still be a champ.

Btw, some say Chavez quit against Randall in 2nd fight. He could have continued.

a bit off topic, didnt the wbc have a new rule in place about weight. something like only 10% can get gained by fight night. that means chavez can only come in at 176. not a giant difference from his usual 180+, but it could be a factor if its true. didnt this go into effect in july or am i going crazy?

Shame on you, assuming Williams and Chavez are one and the same. Due to Williams high output volume, outboxing Williams is much more difficult task than outboxing Chavez! Do you not agree? So what makes you think I'd give Martinez the same advice vs Williams especially when he just lost a close decision to him. Bad assumption on your part!

He may have quit against Randall, only Chavez knows. Do you think that is what the poster was talking about? ....or our we making another assumption?
