Oscar was 35 and lost 4 of his last 7 fights (including one to Manny)
Shane was 40 and didn't manage to win 1 of his last fights (including one to Manny)
Clottey is a B fighter, not quite a resume enhancer
Hatton was one of the greatest KO's I'd ever seen, but a B+ fighter at best.
Marg went 1-3 once he wasn't allowed to cheat (including a loss to Manny)
Cotto was a good win and very legitimate, close enough in age, although coming off a horrific loss in which part of his heart was taken from a guy who probably cheated.
Again, Manny has been a great fighter, but the list speaks more to the greatness of Bob Arum (cringe when I say that) and his ability to promote and make a superstar with superb timing and fighter selection.
I think Marquez won two fights and the other was a draw; just how I scored it. However, if this article is true, it's beyond a bit obsessive, but probably lucrative so who am I to judge.
As for a 4th fight, I'm with most of you, while they've been exciting fights, WHY? neither fighter is good enough to beat the other convincingly, so regardless to who is awarded the "official" victory, the other fighter and his fanbase will cry foul play. Been there, seen that!

This is just sad to hear though even if that is the reason. I can't help but think that Marquez is obsessed with Pacquiao. I remember in an interview he mentioned that if he had one he would be where Pacquiao is. I completely disagree. Pacquiao beating De La Hoya, and even Cotto were the fights that made him a household name. Yet at the same time he appears to see Pacquiao as his hero. He even mentioned having a political career at some point last year.Originally posted by BIGPOPPAPUMP View PostFour division world champion Juan Manuel Márquez has written a book about his trilogy with Filipino rival Manny Pacquiao. The book, called "Yes, I beat you Pacquiao," will be presented this Sunday at the international book fair at the Politecnico. Marquez notes that his book is more than just Pacquiao. He details portions of his career and the qualities that made him one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in boxing.
"[This book is about] how I worked to achieve what I have achieved, with character, courage, and the desire that must be there to get what you want," said Marquez.
"The book which I wrote, and obviously I was helped a little with editing, was based on what I did and what I did to succeed. I speak of discipline, responsibility, and to do so in a book is very important because it's a great way for people to know a little bit more about me."
This first edition, Juan Manuel explained, will be printed with five thousand copies.

I would have picked a better book title since he said it is also about his career and how he worked hard to get to where he is at now but all in all. Marquez has a right to say he did beat Pacquiao because homie got robbed twice.
