K9 may also be the wakest champ right now. It'a a winnable fight for Cotto.

There is one "champ" that hasn't faced any contenders in his own division and for that reason, he is definately the weakest. He won his title from a 140 pounder, defended it against 140 pounders, and is going to defend it against another 140 pounder. He is definately the weakest champ at 154 and Cornelius should get a little more respect for at least fighting people his own size.

Cotto is a ppv fighter he ain't fighting somebody like K9, especially if he can get Canelo.

Like I said before, K9 is gonna sit on his belt waiting for a big name to fight him until he has to fight his mandatory. Most likely it wil be Rosado who would probably beat him. Good riddance.

Cotto is not the PPV fighter everyone makes him out to be. Without Pac/Floyd (guys who could fight just about anyone and make 800k+) he really hasn't amounted much.

i dont know why canelo is being brought up here. he is not even an option for cotto's dec 1 date, even though i dont think k9 is quite high on cotto's (or anyone's) wish list. his name aint that big really...

Bob Arum got Cotto in the ring with Yuri Foreman. At the time Foreman was the weakest of the four champs which was the perfect opponent for cotto to fight since it would be his first fight at 154. Foreman was also promoted by Bob Arum which made the fight even easier to make.

Don't forget it was Yankee stadium and a ton of PR's showed up to see cotto win.
