Mares is fighting Anselmo Moreno who is a complete beast. So why would his people be afraid of Rigondeaux who in comparison to Chemito hasn't done anything and hasn't fought anyone?

You Rigo fans live in a fantasy world.

I don't know how else to put it.

Donaire is fighting Nishioka, Mares is fighting Moreno....and Rigo is fighting Marroquin.

But it is Donaire and Mares who are "ducking" and who want no part of Rigondeaux.

        Give me a break.

Good post. Rigo really is avoiding Mares and a lot of the top guys.

Sucks his fans are blinded by nationalism and can't see his blatant ducking

That's because people don't know what a duck is. Donaire and Mares are both choosing not to fight Rigondeaux because they are fighting better options. If Rigo keeps winning, which he certainly will, then he will get to fight the winner of one of those two fights. The fact that Donaire and Mares are fighting who they are fighting should tell anyone with a brain that they wouldn't be scared to fight Rigondeaux.

He won't carry the blame so long as he is a part of Top Rank Promotions. It's not his fault. I'm sure that he'd fight anyone of the top fighters in his division. We have to keep in mind that these fighters are involved in the Top Rank System. I guess he takes blame for being a part of Top Rank but with the success stories that have come from Top Rank, it's not hard to see why some fighters would trust Bob and Todd. I don't agree with it and I think Top Rank needs to step up to the plate. They kept Lopez and Gamboa from each other and they will do the same with Rigo and Donaires. Once one of them loses, TR loses money so they are businessmen so sometmes putting 2 fighters together is a lose-lose. I don't fully agree but I understand business.

Rigo fighting tomato cans all day, cab drivers by night. All day.

                Go on, keep laughing.

Exactly. Based on who they have already fought...and on who they are fighting next...it's an insult to say they are afraid.

                    facts are:

                    -Rigo has 10 fights.

-The best name on his resume is Cordoba

-He has a ugly unentertaining, awkward style

I dont care if you have a belt (everybody has a belt these days), he has no leverage & NO RIGHT to be calling out Donaire or Mares.

Donaire & Mares are proven. Its Rigondeaux who has to earn the right to fight them NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.
