Do you really think Rigo picked Marroquin after calling out all the top guys? Of course not. TopRank is guiding his career. His career is in their hands. Rigo was at the Donaire/Narvaez or Donaire/Vasquez fight and nobody mentioned him.

    Rigo is not to blame.
    Spot on here.

It's obvious that Arum should bear most of the responsibility why Rigo hasn't gotten some notable opponents, not even counting Donaire. Has everyone forgotten about Juanma/Gamboa? Rigo/Donaire is a similar situation.

Mares and Agbeko are the only ones who have called out Rigo. Nishioka said he didn't wanna fight Rigo and we know the story with Donaire. Nishioka said he wanted Mares or Donaire and it's for obvious reasons, the dude is ready to retire and wants that big check.

The only possible fights I see for Rigo is Agbeko, Mijares and maybe Molitor...

Wouldn't mind seeing Rigo fight Agbeko, Molitor, Shimoda, Ndlovu, Vazquez/Marquez winner, etc. Mijares.....hell no. I was crapping on Donaire when it looked like that was his July fight, and if Rigo fights him after Kennedy and Marroquin....just no.

Rigo should be pushing for one of those 5, because we all know he isn't going to be fighting the Mares/Moreno or Donaire/Nishioka winners anytime soon.

Well, in one of the articles ol' boy said he wanted Mijares to fight Rigo if he beat Marroquin and considering the ****ty opposition Arum has been giving Rigo I wouldn't doubt this fight happening. Assuming Rigo stays with Top Rank. I wouldn't want Rigo fighting Marquez or Vazquez cause these people would simply criticize the move since they are Donaire "left overs." Plus IMO Marquez is done...

People will find a way to criticize whichever path Rigo takes lol. I just wish he was fighting more often. Just noticed that he only fought once in 2011, which is ridiculous. He should be fighting 4 times a year with the way he's destroying his opposition. Arum got the right idea by putting him in PPV under-cards, but that simply isn't enough. I wouldn't mind Mijares if no other options present themselves, and if it happens in December. He just needs to fight and keep out-classing his opponents.

Yea, 2011 ****** for him. Idk what happened there but he said 2012 would be a better year and so far it has been but opposition still the same caliber. Not sure wtf Top Rank is doing by putting him on PPV's but feeding him opposition that should be nowhere near Rigo. They are treating Rigo like a damn prospect and that's wrong. The time for Rigo is NOW and they're gonna ruin him.

Before anyone mentions Rigo's amount of fights, bear in mind he carries a title and more importantly has demanded fighting the best.

Why isn't he and his team trying hard to secure the fights he needs? Why is he fighting another prospect after his destruction of Teon Kennedy?
He is actively pursing Donaire. What more can you ask of him? I also doubt that Mares people are in any hury to throw him in with Rigondeaux at this point. Bradley also did the same thing when he was chasing a Pacquiao fight.

People accused him of ducking Khan. All of that talk dissipated when he landed the Pacquiao fight.

Rigondeaux has made it abundantly clear that he wants Donaire, and I think we can expect him to keep fighting frequent stay busy fights until he gets him. Hes not fighting bums by any stretch of the imagination either. He is fighting good young fighters.

Lets not pretend like Rigondeaux haven't been calling all these guys out...not that his contract is near the end...OF COURSE Arum is going to try and entice him to re-sign with Top Rank if he wants a big match

but I think Rigondeaux will be looking to get away from Top Rank and it would be a wise move because Top Rank don't have anyone to offer him in his Division BESIDES Donaire!

And what do you think GBP will do? de La Hoya will keep Mares away from Rigondeaux the same way he is keeping Canelo from Lara...
