    BoxingScene.com has been advised that a fight between WBC super bantamweight champion Abner Mares (24-0-1) and WBA bantamweight champion Anselmo Moreno (33-1) is being discussed for October 13th at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV.

    Sources close to the situation say that Mares' title would be at stake if a deal is reached. BoxingScene's Rick Reeno recently reported that a WBA lightweight title tilt between Richard Abril and Sharif Bogere is being negotiated to serve as the co-feature. [Click Here To Read More]

                      Ridiculous of GB to go head-to-head with Top Rank for the second time in two months, ultimately it's the fans who want to see both fights live who get screwed. Self-defeating, but not surprising from these self-aggrandizing ****heads we've got running the sport.

                          I can see Moreno outboxing Mares. He's been on a roll lately and has more experience and a much slicker boxer.

                              why? the year is almost over. they have to start going head to head. no network wants fights on thanksgiving, christmas or new years weekends so they have to have two cards on same day. plus most everyones got dvrs so it is ok. what is wrong with 5 great fights in one day?

                              look at sept 8th, you got hbo, showtime and nbc with cards
