    not a good idea.
however, we could play safe here to see if he still has punch resisistance and stamina and take on malignaggi, atleast it would give ricky an assured win whatever powder puff shots he has to take.
anybody could beat malignaggi and i do mean ANYBODY.
yes, even the "legend" king "khant". lol

I just think he should enjoy retirement and concentrate on his promoting. Although I can't deny the fact that I would like to see him fight again though. I guess I'm just torn on this one.
Who knows but I think he's going the right way about finding out. He's not rushing into a fight with Malignaggi, he's testing the waters.

Marquez is like every other fighter, he's trying to get paid and Hatton is nothing if not a big payday. My understanding is the fight was being negotiated in late 2009.

I think Ricky will still have enough to beat whoever they put him in with first up, but I can't see him getting it done at the top level anymore.

Still it will be nice for him to go out on a win

Wait a sec. Why exactly should Ricky Hatton walk into a title shot after an easy tune up? Surely people aren't suggesting he leapfrogs the likes of Kell Brook because of who he used to be? (assuming he'll be coming back at 147lbs). At least get one meaningful win first after a comeback fight, then talk titles.

Looks like some are waiting to slip into Frank Warren's shoes! LOL

he's willing to put himself in harms way to get Hatton promotions another sky contract.

Hopefully he doesnt look completley shot in his tune up and gets another biggish fight (Paulie, Khan) that he has a chance of winning. But heart was always a big factor in Hatton's success, if his heart isnt in it and he's just doing it cos he feels he has to things arent gonna turn out good.

Start with a home bout with a solid tune-up in Manchester to assess condition and punch resistance and then take on Malignaggi in a world title bout in the new year.

If he can win that then a bout with Marquez is a possibility.
i dont. im sorry but you cant continue to eat crap, drink gallons, take drugs and then expect to do well at boxing.

a bout with marquez???? crazy. marquez might drink piss, but im pretty certain he doesnt get fat and take drugs!!!

If Hatton comes back he's only good enough of the likes of Malignaggi and a few defences against gatekeepers. He showed in the Pac fight that's he past his best, his resistance has gone and the years of drinking & snorting had finally caught up with him.

It's a shame really, he could've been a lot more in the sport and still fighting now. Do I ever think he'd avenge his losses? No. But he'd still be relevant in what is a good LWW division.

His T-rex arms hinder him at 147 and anyway return featuring that weight will be short lived. If Hatton could've gotten down to LW safely and was strong at the weight he would've been perfectly suited.
