Gotta agree with this logic. Rigo still has business to do. I'm already sold on him, but I know that many aren't and it's completely understandable.
Nishioka might be slightly old and coming off a 1-year layoff, but he is the #1 guy. Would he give a tougher fight to Donaire than Rigo? I don't think so. But Nishi does have a good chance to win.Comment

Fight Rigondeaux! Stop running Donaire! You weren't fooling anyone by choosing Nishioka! And how many years ago was that?
Lets apply your logic for a moment.
Shane Mosley knocked out Antonio Margarito in 2009, he must be fresh and an incredible threat to anyone in his division today.
Nishioka knocked out Jhonny Gonzales in 2009, he must be fresh and an incredible threat to anyone in his division today.
Basically, Nishioka hasn't done anything noteworthy since 2009, and in boxing... especially for a 37 year-old fighter at 122lb, that is an eternity.
I'm not saying hes a shot to ****, no-hoper. However, he is not a difficult fight for Donaire.Comment

fight rigo!!!!nishi isn't that big of a deal in my mind either. Who has he beaten of note? A post vazquez trilogy rafael marquez? That fight was much closer than it should have been if nishioka is to be considered a threat to donaire.
Lets be real with ourselves. Nishioka is not a threat. He is a 37 year old ring worn veteran who is not particularly fast, not particularly slick, and doesn't hit particularly hard.
The only legitimate threat to donaire in the division is rigondeaux.Comment
