This. Canelo is my boy but he got stunned by Jose Cotto and he also got stunned by Golovkin in sparring. As of right now, I wouldn't pick him to beat Jackson.

Jackson didn't have the most dependable chin, but he has some of the most brutal KO's I've ever seen. Somebody would get stopped, and Canelo's chin is still questionable, don't think he would make it to round 6. Jackson got the height and reach advantage too, definitely would be a problem for Canelo too.

TS, of what I've seen of Julian Jackson and that's rather little: I can see him losing rounds based on a poor defense. He has some major pop though, I mean he can turn a fight around..and over with, with one of his monster rights (Norris, who was boxing his ass off). I, for one, give Canelo the benefit of the doubt for his age and i think he has a lot of potential just waiting to be put to the test, so to speak...but today's version versus Julian gets caught and stopped maybe after 4-5 rounds.

Lmao. This thread is hilarious. Somehow a shot to **** Shane Mosley proves to OP that he decisions a prime ****ing Julian Jackson. Troll thread of the week.

Someone would get KO'd no doubt. Jackson's aggressive style would kinda be like the style Canelo will face against Josesito. The big difference is Jackson had massive power & is not a 140lber. I have to see that fight & see how often Sito touches up Canelo. If Jose doesn't land too many bombs I figure Canelo would KO Jackson because Jose is a touch quicker. Canelo is a decent counterpuncher & has power if given the open target Jackson provides. He might not have enough craft yet to diffuse Jackson's artillery at this point though. Too bad this fantasy fight isn't the fight we are getting on September 15th!

Given Canelos pathetic competition, thats as ignorant statement. Suliaman and the other crooks at the WBC let this guy beat the piss out of a pathetic (even by british standard) 147 lb journeyman (Hatton) for their 154lb "world championship". Then he defends against soft touch after soft touch. Now their gonna let him defend vs a 140 lb contender. All the while real 154 lb contenders can't get title shots the have earned. As long as crap like this continues boxing will never again be a mainstream sport.

Sorry for the rant, BTW given Canelos lack of defense, a prime Jackson knocks him TFO!

if there's one thing that's been established about canelo, it's that he doesnt move his head well

that won't work too well against the hardest p4p puncher of all time.

jackson was a huge jr MW. big bones. muscles. some length and height.

                      punching power.

i've no reason to think that canelo could beat him. jackson had terrific offensive timing. i think he'd pick a spot to throw when canelos hands are punching, and he'd put the lights out.

if canelo can beat julian jackson at 22 he's a hell of a fighter. jackson was very good at jr mw. i dont see it.
