Comments Thread For: Khan Promotions Branching Out, Aim To Become Players

Amir Khan recently told BoxingScene that he is still in the hunt for major world titles, but the 2004 Olympic silver medalist has also confirmed that his company, Khan Promotions, is seeking to branch out by adding to their roster of boxers. Khan Promotions has played a part in the Bolton-based boxer’s recent outings yet have not made any major signings, which is about to change according to Asif Vali, Khan’s business manager.

It's a great idea for later on, but Khan should concentrating on getting his career back on track.

Now that the con is on a losing streak, time for his wide gaped front teeth dad to find other ways of earning.

The Khan hype is beginning to fade IMHO.

surely it would make more sense for khan to learn a bit of defence rather than pratting about with a promotional company?

            ugh

this is not a good sign. he's probably already thinking about the end of his career.

i like khan these days, though. the guy gets into the ring and fights hard until his lights go out. if he wants to get out of boxing and become a promoter ill support him.

Khan needs to focus on getting his career back on track. Fight someone like Guzman or Prescott late in the year, and take it from there.

khan doesn't necessarily need to be running khan promotions full time..He can just hand off the major responsibilities to people in his camp. But of course he needs to be careful about who he chooses to handle things while he continues fighting or else he could end up in the same situation like Manny Pacquiao Promotions.

LOL "Khan Promotions" REALLY...dude get your career together first then focus on starting a Promotion after your career is over

not that I don't think Khan can't be a Promotion, I think he would do well at it, as well as Commentary after his career is done

Khan forgets GBP is in partnership with NBC over Olympic boxing, partly to get first pick at any Olympian wanting to continue their career. No way are they going to let a small time self promoter beat them to the boxers. Essentially this is Khan vs GBP, a flyweight vs a heavyweight.
