    Damn, close poll.

Right now I pick Cotto-Alvarez. If Gamboa proves he still has it at 135, then I'll pick Gamboa-Broner.

I don't like either. Gamboa having to now jump these 2 weight classes to fight the loadmouth seems drastic. Besides I think both are severely overrated.

I do not think that ginger should be allowed to share the same ring with Cotto. Slap in the face of the entire 154lb division.

Who did Cotto beat at 154 that makes him so good that Canelo is not worthy to fight him? Margarito? Mayorga? Foreman? Canelo is better than any of them. You complain that Canelo fights guys that are not good enough but you don't want him to fight Cotto because he is to good? Why don't you give him a chance. He might surprise you and beat the mighty Cotto.

Give him a chance?? He's had 5. None were anyone that campaigns at 154. He hasn't earned a thing. I never said Cotto was "too good", now did I?? Quite frankly there are a few people at 154 that I think might beat Cotto. But ginger is the least deserving of the bunch.

Based on style match up, Cotto vs Alvarez

When you said he should not be allowed to share a ring with Cotto I thought you were saying he was not good enough to fight Cotto. Sorry I misunderstood you. What you say about him not fighting 154 pounders is not accurate. I know the way he won the vacant tittle fighting a bum welterweight is BS.We agree on that. That was in March 2011. In his first tittle defense he fought the Englishman who was ranked 4th at 154 by Ring and somewhere in the top 5 by the WBC. He also fought Cintron who was coming off a loss but still rated in the top 10 by ring and the WBC. He fought Gomez, a welterweight. He fought Mosley who often fights at 154. I think fighting the Englishman was an acceptable defense of the tittle and the other 3 defenses were poor fights. Then he was set to fight Kirkland and then Williams, two tough rated 154 pounders and that showed me he was willing to fight anyone. Golden Boy picked Lopez for him when those fights could not be made. I blame them for that fight more than Canelo. Cotto was a 154 pound champion from way back in June 2010. He only fought two guys that were not ranked at all by anyone at 154 in damn near two years as the WBA champion. So Canelo has actually been a better 154 pound champion than Cotto. Cotto did not fight the Kirklands or the Laras or the Molinas either. So if you are going to be so critical of Canelo why give Cotto a free pass? Defending your tittle against Mayorga is really bad. It's just as bad or worse than any of Canelo's defenses.

Cotto is washed up why would i want to see him get mauled by Canelo?

Only because of the sheer amount of fights he's had. 9 fights at 154 and he really hasn't done much more than Cotto's 4 fights. I'd rather take a competitive loss to Floyd than beat on a shot-to-pieces Mosley.
