Wow, c'mon Pac, fight Bradley again. Nobody wants to see a 4th fight with Marquez. And you ain't getting 50/50 with 50 cent. More likely 65/35 since losing to Bradley and ducking him for a rematch. But that needs to be done if you're to be taken seriously as one who cares about your legacy more than money. If you're REALLY a changed man, PROVE it and step into the ring again with Bradley, or fight Floyd even if the terms aren't in your favor. You grandstanded too long as well as Floyd, but you got knocked off the hill 1st. That was the risk you took by waiting 3-4 years and blue-balling the boxing world.
As far as 50 cent and the new promo co, interesting stuff. What if boxing could all be united under the same promoter like UFC? Well, we know it would be less profitable for a few fighters, but if done right could increase the exposure to the sport and start earning new fans. Boxing must field either mex or flips to sell tix. UFC does not have that problem, people love a good fight no matter who is fighting!
We need to get boxing BACK to that concept. I'd be for a whoesale update to boxing. A shakeup so to speak, a re-org of the weight classes to UFC type weights, so that more guys would fight each other, less belts means more significance for the belts that do remain. Lighter gloves by 2 ounces would mean more knockouts...and my specific idea of adding 2 ounces to the gloves of any heavyweight over 230lbs. That way, you can have pumped up cruiser-weights like David Haye getting a fair shake against a 6'8" Vitali Klitschko.
It just makes sense.
