The us olympians have received far too many column inches imo, there have been some really good other amateurs who are not getting reported on at all, like lomchenko and Dyschko.

This is an American website. Get over it.

Everyone is quick to down the Olympic team but once somebody who's decent from America comes up in the pro ranks with a good or decent record that was DEFEATED by an American Olympian he doesn't get criticized as much and sometimes gets more praised then what we've gotten but it's ok in the end people are going to talk we just have to rebuild and prove them wrong.
I haven't watched any of the fights. I'll see you in the pros, bring it then.

You still beat everyone that tried in the states to get where you were, don't let anyone get you down and make you feel like you need to come post a rebuttal. You'll never have to fight the people talking ****. They wouldn't be talking if they participated.

I don't know who you are yet, I'll probably search online in a minute, but with whatever you're going to do... try again in the next games, or go pro...

          Just stay focused.

All respect to you guys for even getting in the ring. And for having gotten as far as you did.

But to be honest this was a very disappointing performance. Not one single medal from the men of any kind.

I know that the amateur game is a very specialized kind of fighting, and that it doesn't relate to the pros very much. So I hope all of you go on to have successful professional careers and prove that this isn't the best you had to offer.

Indeed, if it was an American boxing website only, why are we talking about the Klitschkos, Froch, Hatton, Nishioka, or Bute?

It's an American website that discusses boxing. So of course the American Olympic boxing team is going to be the topic of a lot of articles.

If you don't like them don't read them.

It's a boxing website, and the worthy boxers should be featured. There are at least ten rock solid prospects, and two or three potential superstars in these Olympics. None happen to be American, but that should have nothing to do with it.

Cliff is a very good boxing writer, but a little bit too much Yankee Doodle in this instance.

Don't take the defeats to heavily for as we witnessed and have witnessed in the past, Olympic boxing is far too inconsistant and corrupt to be taken seriously at this point. I mean, in a sport where a participant should only be concerned with their opponent, they also have to pray to the lord that the ref wasn't bought out or that he's experienced enough to officiate coupled with the possibility of the judges being corrupt. It's not fair to the hard working, dedicated Olympian how much these games are tainted.

It's an article with it's subject matter specifically about the American Olympic team. It's just like an article specifically about a certain fighter. You wouldn't criticize the author for not writing about other more highly accomplished fighters.
