This is so odd. Why negotiate this long only to say that you'd rather fight in the States? Hopefully there's more Info to come.

I can see this happening if Pavlik doesnt fight Froch.

That's false actually press row was more or less split 50-50 Dirrells antics cost him the win. I'm not complaining Froch won the fight you are the one falsely complaining about a robbery that didn't happen.

Smart move from Oosthuizen's camp, even though he would have been competitive in defeat it could have ended in a KO loss which would be damaging this early in his career.

Bring on Bika! He'll fight Froch in his living room.

I suspect like most things, it comes down to money. Career-wise it's the right decision for tommy gun.

Sakio Bika may well be the only quality option left for Carl.

              I eagerly await Hearn's explanation.

As for Bika I don't know. There's also Magee although he is likely to fight Kessler.

Froch has already beaten Magee (CF claims he had a broken hand), I just can't see him fighting BM again.

Kessler is a good fight for Magee, he will likely lose but it may be his last shot at a big payday.

Maybe the payday was less than they wanted or the location was an issue. Or perhaps a lot of it was rumours and no real negotiations took place.

Hopefully he'll sort something out soon, I think he should consider Adonis Stevenson. If you know you have to face a mandatory within the next year, it's better to get it out of the way when you have nothing else on the table rather than leaving it until Kessler/Bute becomes available and then have to choose between facing a big name or keeping the belt.
That's exactly what I was going to come in here and say. A lot of posters are saying "good move", "he wasn't ready", etc. But it's going over their head that negotiations were pretty far in, which means both sides wanted the fight. But something went wrong, like you said, maybe Tommy's team didn't feel the reward was worth it.

Dirrell really should have been thrown out, imo.

When he felt the slightest pressure from Froch he'd either flop to the floor or his head would be level with Froch's nutsack.

Awful fight. When he did engage he had the edge of Froch but he lacked heart.

                      B) Froch vs Pavlik
