He's one of the most complete boxers in the game, amateur or pro. The power is fine, as an earlier poster insisted. The chin of course is an unknown, and with his excellent head and foot movement we won't find out anything early in his pro career. Maybe he needs to acquire a jab as a pro?

Who do you guys see as potential trainers and promoters? I assume that his amateur fame will cause all the top dogs to swarm after him immediately.

Toledo is a very good boxer in his own right, so Friday is no given.

      Vasyl

On his twitter @lomachenkovasyl he's been talking to Oscar Dela Hoya so I assume he might be going with Golden Boy...Yes his favourite boxer is Mike Tyson, he said he thought mike Tyson was from ukraine and when he found out he wasn't he cried.

Dont get too hyped on this guy, according to alot of Americans..the amateurs standard isnt as good as it was when American performed well in them.

I do wonder how he will fare in this pros with his style. He has a tendency to square up during exchanges too much for my liking. In the pros that will get you KTFO or dropped at least. If he can get rid of that habit, it will help him immensely. Be good to see him in a few years.

Lomachenko has the kind of smarts and talent that'll make adjustments like that easy enough. Technique you can teach, talent you cannot.

Impressive considering Vasyl has over 5 years of experience over him. I hope he stays competing as an amateur for 4 more years. He dont need to jump in to fight men when he is a kid and still can get PR a medal in the future. And Jantony Ortiz is pretty good too.

The manner in which he ducks punches (which is masterful, by the way) reminds me of the young Mike Tyson. His compact, fast, sharp movements are also reminiscent of the "Cus D'Amato fighter." He throws the hook to the body, uppercut to the head combo Tyson made famous. Even the way Vasyl walks around the ring and cracks his neck all seem inspired by Tyson! lol I wouldn't doubt at all if Lomachenko's favorite boxer was "Iron Mike." He's certainly watched quite a bit of video on the man.

As ready as I believe Vasyl is for the pros, it'll be a while before he can get in there with the likes of Broner. I think the kid can go very far, though. He's an exciting fighter with great skills and talent. If his English is up to the task, he can be a real star. I'm looking forward to it!
totally. i love the way her turns on a dime to create angles for himself. i was kinda hoping teddy had something to say about his style during the broadcast. but he didn't.
