    Jones jr v McClellan ?

Sorry if you've had this one before but I've been watching a fair bit of McClellan Latley and was wondering who'd win against him and jones . I believe jones was one of the greatest middles ever but think McClellan could really of tested him not sure how this would of gone , who u got ?

If Roy didn't get flattened early on I'd pick him to win a comfortable U.D maybe even stop McClellan.

McClellan had massive one punch K.O power but he didn't seemingly carry his power well. If you survived the early onslaught from McClellan, you tended to live to see another day.

I don't think that's something that can be proven though. from 1991 to 1995 he stopped all of his opponents within 5 rounds. Against Nigel Benn (which should have been a TKO 1) obviously in the later rounds something was seriously wrong with him, but even so he hurt Benn numerous times.

I was looking through box rec and noticed the records of the guys he fought in his 23rd and 24 th fights were against 4/5/0 and 4/7/0 guys then he wins a world title in his next fight , did he have trouble getting opponents cause if u look at his record most of the guys have bad records but he was highly Rated still ?

If Jones survives early and boxes he probably win. All G-Man has to do is land 1 bomb and its over, so I think I bet on G-Man if they had fought. The shots that Benn took would have killed Roy, imagine if that ref would not have screwed him, he would have been on top for a while.

Yeah it's sad really that he never got to see how far he could go , would've been a great match up

McClellan would have beaten Jones, G-man was huge had scary power, good solid skills and timing to beat Jones speed and flashiness.

Its substance over style, that and the fact Gerald beat Roy in the amatuers which puts G-man mentally one up over Roy before the fihgt even begins.

Brutal KO within 5 rounds Gerald McClellan.

Mclellan has the skill to land the one punch he would need to.

Jones would live out his days with an inverted chin

Should it? The ref was only at 8 when Benn was back in the ring.
