Let me add to this:
Wladimir Klitschko coach Fritz Sdunek jumped into the ring and stopped the fight.
Man he got owned. Medved you must admit defeat in this one.
Idk why people seem to like rushing all these guys 'into stepping their competition up'. Some guys learn at different paces and they all aren't just ready by X amount of fights.

His 1st selection for an opponent was a guy that was undefeated, 6'7" with a 83 inch reach and has win over Tor Hamer (the dude recently beat Kingpin Johnson) and he PULLED OUT.
The guy he beat is a pretty decent backup opponent. Went the distance earlier in the year with one of Wlad's career best wins, Chagev. But couldn't make it out the 1st round against Wilder.
Wilder's "upside" is bigger than any of the other prospects i've seen in the division.Last edited by ArtThouFurious?; 08-05-2012, 09:18 AM.Comment

Wilder used to be a really humble guy. I dunno what happened. His size should be what carries him but i dont think his skill is there. Id love to see him make it big but i think he gets crushed when he steps up against a guy his size. If im wrong, ill be the first to admit it.Comment

Well said. There's no need to feed the guy to the wolves when he clearly needs more rounds under his belt. He's not babysitting a title, he's not charging $600 for ringside seats, he's not on PPV and he's not a top contender according to any boxing organization. He's a prospect with a short amateur career who's still learning the fight game.he looks so much better than he had been looking.
there's a ton of talent. even as recently as a year or so ago he was looking like he hardly knew how to fight.
6'7" and 84 inches of reach are not taught in the gym.
as much as this will rub people the wrong way, i still don't want to see him rushed. he should stick with the manswell types. not all of them are going to get starched in one round. he needs to be in there with guys who can go rounds with him. they're out there. i still think that if he steps up to the top 10 in his next fight he'll lose badly.
he needs to be in there with a guy who can take him rounds and hit him with punches. manswell was supposed to be that guy. credit to wilder for not allowing him out of the first.
If you don't like watching prospects develop and grow in to solid professionals..DON'T ****KIN WATCH HIS FIGHTS. It's not that hard to do.Comment

This guy acts like a total ****head.
He's an obnoxious, narcissistic, dumb, African-American heavyweight -- just what the USA wants, apparently.Comment
