As I watched this fight I said to myself I wonder how much more punishment Ty has to take before his corner will through in the towel? This fight should have been stopped in the 8th round. There was no need for a 9th. Ty didn't even have a puncher's chance. If Leavander Johnson's corner had stopped the fight after the 8th round he'd likely be alive today.

Barnett was brought in to lose. He had already been knocked out much earlier in fights against lesser fighters (maybe). A good win against a so so fighter, but from Barnett to Vazquez is a big leap in talent. Can he do it?

A fight with Beltran would be the best option for him. Could he beat an elite gatekeeper? If he can, he's ready for any of the titleholders.

I was surprised Barenett lasted this long since his below average opposition, ie: his last bout , didn't even warrent a move up 2 Gesta...Maladenado lookd very good...
