Nice knockout, but Gesta was still sloppy at times and could use more experience prior to a big fight. Maybe a current titleholder sees this and might bite for a crack at this dude while the gettin's good.

Gesta vs Aydin OR Gesta vs Maidana

Aydin should never have lost to Robert Guerrero; simply a fluke bad night for Aydin. I'm happy for Guerrero and how he's able to secure his families future. Aydin is the better fighter who just had a bad night. Aydin, previously a no-name, comes to fight, and pushed Guerrero all over the ring the last three rounds. Gesta vs Aydin would be a war.

Gesta vs Maidana would be another great fight. Guerrero wouldn't reschedule his fight with Maidana after cancelling for shoulder surgery. Mayweather wouldn't fight Maidana after Maidana destroyed Ortiz in 8 rounds. Floyd chose the easier route taking on the "loser" Ortiz instead. Ortiz has now lost to Maidana, Mayweather, and Josesito Lopez, taking Ortiz out of the mix. Maidana is a 140 warrior, not 147. Gesta - Maidana is a must.

Marquez over-priced himself for Gesta last month, on purpose. He didn't really want to fight Gesta, and Gesta wasn't a big enough name to sell PPV to pay Marquez' wants. So Marquez is not in this picture.

OR.... Have Gesta fight Maidana, have Josesito Lopez fight Aydin. Have Marquez fight Robert Guerrero. Pacquiao needs to fight Bradley immediately, and Mayweather fight Canelo. NOW you have something!!!!

Jesse Magdaleno has great speed. I had to laugh at Ty Barnett for coming out in military colors with Bernard Hopkins excutioner look and getting destroyed by Gesta.

Barnett was brought in to lose. He had already been knocked out much earlier in fights against lesser fighters (maybe). A good win against a so so fighter, but from Barnett to Vazquez is a big leap in talent. Can he do it?

Gesta has got some decent skills and he sits on his punches so he could be a potential finisher at 135/140. But, he seems a little plodding on his feet, I thought his hand speed would be a quicker and he sits on his punches just a hair too long. If he does this against his current comp level a top 10 guy is gonna come along and take this kid to school. All this talk about Miguel Vazquez, Jmm and Rios need to cease because he'll get battered by all 3. Arum better let his pride go and match this kid against the likes of Ray Beltran, Miguel Acosta, Lenny Zappavigna and step his level up the right way or the only Pacquiao comparisons will be to "Bobby Pacquiao".
