Ward v Dawson RBR/Pre/Post fight discussion master thread

Enough with the Ward "hometown" cooking bullshit.
Adamek has fought at the Prudential Center, basically Poland-West 8 TIMES, and got a 119-110 score against Chambers in his last fight.
GTFO.
I have yet to see a fight where Ward fought in Cali to even suggest people even bringing it up.
I do give Dawson a HUGE tip of the cap for fighting Ward in Oakland.
But some people on here need to shut their man pleaser's about it. It's old.

It is surprising Dawson has given up weight and venue to make this fight happen, for whatever reason he wants this fight badly.
I guess a Dawson win could open the door to lucrative bouts against Kessler, Bute, Froch? otherwise it doesn't seem like good business or a good career decision from CD.

dawson giving up weight and venue makes me think that he has seen something in ward which he feels he can exploit.
maybe ward isn't accustomed to fighting guys with such a big reach advantage or maybe he isn't effective against southpaws.
i have still got ward down for winning this. i think hes too skilled and aggressive. dawson missed a trick by not calling for a catchweight fight (171 would be perfect) and i think having to work really hard in training will mean he starts the fight slowly.
this is where i see ward taking the initiative he can be real dog sometimes and dawson does struggle against some aggressive boxers (think pascal).

It's because the "hometown" referees let him get away with Victor Oritz style flying headbutts.
Did you not know that's the only reason he beat Kessler?
ward had already shown from roounds 1-5 he had more in his locker than kessler could handle. he was quick, agressive and smart - kess would have lost that fight even without the butts.

I got Dawson by a close decision in this, if making 168 doesn't take anything away from him. I think he has most of the physical advantages in this matchup and I think going rounds with Hopkins will help him cope well with Ward's tactics.

He makes a Light Heavyweight go down to 168
He's willing to fight all the ring champs, as long as they're the ones making all the sacrifices. Ward will never get my respect. Hopefully Dawson sparks him
