You mean a close KD then, Cotto would have gotten back up. Most boxers' legs would have buckled from that clean shot. That in no way shape or form implies that Canelo would end Cotto's career like you said.

it would be a close battle but i see Alverez landing the cleaner more powerful shots. Canelo has underrated speed which will trouble Cotto if they exchange. the rest of the fight would play out with Cotto on the backfoot trying to avoid any further damage while Saul tries to go in for the kill.
