Has anyone EVER remained undefeated as long as Floyd?

Unfortunately nowadays is all about being undefeated. God forbid a fighter loses once...

You could probably blame the promoters for this or even Mayweather himself. Promoters noticed how well he sold his undefeated record and decided to use the same to promote their fighters. So yea, it's all about cherry picking nowadays and barely testing yourself/your fighter. Very rarely do you get the best fighting each other. Can't complain tho, this year hasn't been too bad. You had Juanma-Salido, Bute-Froch, we even had 2 prospects go at it on FNF fights in Fortuna-Evans, we're getting Ward-Dawson and Salido-Garcia. There's been others that I can't remember now tho.

    EDIT: Can't forget Khan-Garcia.

Lopez actually did move up (to light flyweight or flyweight) a few years before he retired. I'm sure he had some fights there.. He was tall but must have had bones like a bird.

Brian Nielsen went 49-0-0 before his first loss.

Yes, he tops Floyd be a good amount. He was undefeated for 16 years 8 months and 51 fights with no time off.He was in 26 tittle fights and he won 25 of these and 1 was a draw. He beat the guy he had a draw with in his next fight. He was a great fighter and even better than Floyd in my opinion.

I see some people posting about ricardo lopez in here. He was the man! I would like to add that (i put this in another thread a while ago) that p4p he was one of the best mexican boxers i have ever seen, on tape unfortunately. To me, he didnt fight like traditional mexican fighters and i think thats what carried him as far as it did. The boy had mad skill....but if im not mistaken i think i also heard rumors that he fought some kids at times so his resume can be a bit deceiving. like 15-16 in age. Has anybody else heard of this before?

You have to understand that Pac-tards didn't exist at the time of this ESPN interview. It's like I have said, no matter who he fights someone will always say he's ducking someone else. In this case it was Baldo. Floyd fought both and you see what happens then? They move on to someone else... It's the same **** different day.... If Floyd would have ducked Blado and fought Margarito people would be screaming today that Baldo is an ATG that Floyd ducked but no since Floyd beat him they turn to someone else. There is always someone else. Which is my point.

                      Good post btw.
