That's the way it has always been. Floyd has said this for years.

If Floyd would have ducked Blado and fought Margarito people would be screaming today that Baldo is an ATG that Floyd ducked but no since Floyd beat him they turn to someone else. There is always someone else. Which is my point.

        Good post btw.
no they wouldn't. Margarito was ranked #1 for 3 years running. That's like saying if floyd had fought pac everyone would say floyd was ducking ortiz. One guy was well established and another guy was a one win wonder.

what i have discovered on this site is ppl dont know who the hell is on floyds resume because they werent watching the sport for a majority of his career. the fact is his resume is nothing spectacular when compared with many of the guys in history. but when compared to other modern day fighters its pretty up there. in fact the only active fighters who have a resume that can even be argued to be better is manny and bernard hopkins. besides whose two, no1 even comes close. but the hate and the misinformation will continue. at the end of the day, hes considered an atg and hofer by anyone whos worth a damn in the sport.

i mean look at all the young fighters in the sport. name one that has a resume that u can look at and compare to a 21 y/o floyd. name one that can compare to mannys at 21 or so. truth is, times have changed. and ppl bash floyd, but when he and manny are gone, its gonna be sad and funny at the same time watching these young fighters amount to ****.

so is the argument really baldomir is on par with margarito/cotto/williams and pac? that's pretty silly. yeah because if floyd never fought baldomir he would still be dominating the welterweight division. floyd ruined baldomir and made him lose to guys like jackson bonsu right after fighting floyd.

yes times have changed and you can thank floyd and the clueless fans who buy his fights for that.Oscar delahoya was the cash cow before but he challenged everyone. floyd proved you can still be the cash cow without taking any big risks. He truly changed everything and now promoters/haymons/fighters are emulating him because they know it works!

If the guy is still active, then what's the issue? keep fighting who the fans want you to fight.
