If Broner can beat Gamboa, he shoots up the P4P list IMMEDIATELY.

Some floyd fans suggest Khan or Canelo if the Manny fight can't be made. This makes fiscal sense if Martinez, who fights in Sept. and Bradley is at TR, are not available.
Khan, ginger & Pacman, none are competitive. You know it, I know it. So what's the point, other than Floyd beats them, gets loads of praise for the inevitable & still won't ever face 1 of the few genuinely dangerous fighters around his weight class.

BTW I find it funny that you bring up ginger & Pacman when they have other bouts lined up too. I'd like to see Floyd prove his mettle against the better fighters of this era, beating Khan, ginger & Pacman just like he's supposed to doesn't cut it.

No misery from me, only pity for the likes of you. BTW your reasoning for why Floyd beats Duran are laughable at best. You quoted me bro, who's bitter now??

If either one of those guys beat Gamboa they would deserve some credit. Yuri is the best fighter from 126-130. At 135 he's pushing the envelope, but he's such a beast that even a bigger guy should get some acknowledgement if they beat him. What gets me is the smack talk from the bigger guys. Rios was talking all kinds of garbage when Gamboa pulled out of their fight...then he walked into a match with a taller guy (Abril) and got utterly owned. lol
On paper I agree. but Gamboa hasn't fought in sometime and has a tendency to drop his hands. Should they fight in the immediate future, beating Gamboa would be HUGE but IMO not enough to put Broner in the top 10 p4p just yet.

I need to see where Gamboa is when he returns to the ring before making a judgement.

I'm not bitter, I just don't understand the constant contempt.

As for floyd/duran, fine with me. At least my opinon is formed by watching them fight more than 25 times each. Obviously, I was a young kid watching Duran. If you choose to to disagree fine. Most of the people picking Duran have seen tapes of him fight SRL, Hearns, Hagler, and maybe Barkley. The rest of their opinions is hearsay. SO I don't get mad if they or you disagree.

WHen have I campaigned for ginger or khan in december? Only Manny. I have no problem with floyd fighting better fighters. But if not Martinez, then who?

Gamboa is one hell of a fighter. If Broner easily beats Gamboa, or knocks him out, he solidifies himself as one of the best right now, and is on a path to be one of the best of his era.

          it would be

          1a) Ray Robinson
          1b) Broner

The bold, that's the fight that needs to happen. Floyd vs (insert name here) is worthless. 2 top 3 pfp both capable of making 154 needs to happen.

Look at the world of boxing as we know it. Floyd & Pacman were both recognized as the best fighters in boxing, both campaigned at 147 & they haven't fought & the fight has lost all of it's luster now. Making the fight right now is a pointless waste of time. Now we know who wins, why bother. Martinez is that last fight left. Is Floyd going to retire while never fighting another fighter capable of putting him to the test?? Does he substitute that with the likes of ginger & Khan. I don't see how his fans can support that.

nah a win against gamboa especially at 135 doesn't shot up anyone to p4p...it would be a nice win though.

You make good points about Gamboa's inactivity, but the "tendency to drop his hands" has been overstated from the beginning. I guess Yuri will never live that one down. lol

Just fight Martinez, the only credible guy?? How hard is that??

If sergio loses to Chavez, who does floyd fight?

You are essentially ****ting on every other opponent for a floyd fight. The only good fights for floyd are against bigger men fighting above him? So unless its Martinez or I guess Ward, its a cherrypick.

                      Frankly, thats a ridiculous standard.
