Comments Thread For: Olympic Boxing Results - Light Heavyweight (Part One)

By Jake Donovan - The light heavyweight division sees its first round of action on Monday, split into afternoon and evening sessions.

Capping the afternoon session (local time) is Marcus Browne, the lone fighter from the US to see action on Monday as teammate Rau’shee Warren has a bye in the first round for the flyweight division. Browne – who hails from New York - takes on Damien Hooper of Australia in a bout that will pit the winner against Uzbekistan’s Elshod Rasulov in the Round of 16.

Hooper will now fight Russia's Egor Mekhontsev not Rasulov. Rasulov will fight Elmekachari from Tunisia.

I think Marcus may have got a bit fatigued from moving so much in the 1st and 2nd...Hooper really let him have it in the 3rd round smh...

When it gets real tough you see who wants it more...and the Australian wanted it more...
