My favourite...
Sugar Ray Robinson - The Bright Lights And Dark Shadows Of A Champion. Really good stuff. It tells a great story about Robinson and will enlighten you a lot about him. Since it's very hard to really follow his career and see his most important bouts, I would highly recommend watching this.

My second favourite is Floyd Mayweather - Soul Of A Champion
It's only 20 minutes long but it is still very good. I am suprised that there aren't more documentaries about Floyd. I guess 24/7 is a documentary but it's not anything like the Sugar Ray Robinson one I listed above. I'd like to see a similar documentary to that one about Floyd. I don't know why but we'll probably have to wait until he's retired to see one like that, hopefully not. His story really fascinates me. His parents were on drugs, they were poor, he thought about getting into the drug game, dad went to prison, and he somehow overcame it all and became the highest paid athlete in the world and one of the greatest boxers of all time. He's the best i've ever seen. He could make even more money if he made a documentary or a film about his life and/or published a book. I'm sure these things will come eventually, I just hope I don't have to wait too long.
Anyway, here's "Soul of a Champion"

I've always liked the 'Beyond the Glory' documentaries from Fox sports. They have one for Oscar, Duran, Foreman, Hopkins...for quite a few boxers...they're all good but I think the Tyson one tops them all.
Another documentary that comes to mind, a recent one, is 'Facing Ali'. I thought that was pretty good.Last edited by p4p-champ; 07-29-2012, 05:34 PM.Comment
