This, and people who saw Roy in the amateurs always saw his chin as a relative ***** in the armor in an otherwise awesome package.

he had a style very appropriate for the professionals and developed quickly, and along those lines i'll agree that he's worthy of being in the ring with the men listed. that's a testament to how talented and skilled he was.

remember, his last fight at 160, and against his best opponent there, was against bernard hopkins. that was four years into his career, and hardly the roy jones who would later develop into the best p4p fighter on the planet while he was at '68 and 175. go back and watch the fight if you have to.

if somebody says that he ****** at 160 then you can consider that a myth. i am not saying that. you're talking about matching him with MW greats. against them MW roy jones would be considered very much a green fighter.

to think that a four year pro would not be in the danger of bein in over his head in deep water against the four best mw of all time (robinson, hagler, monzon, and greb,) is probably evidence of worship. you worship roy jones. it's always amusing. you do know boxing in some sense, but you're either a troll or biased.

you're talking about the four best MW to ever do it, and i know you give them no chance against jones at 160 lbs.

he was not the product then that he was at 168, even year and a half later against toney he looked a better fighter, and had four fights and 24 rounds to work on things and grow.
Super this. Jones barely fought at 60, struggled to make the weight and likely wouldn't have even as long as he did in the day of weigh-in era, but he's laying waste to the best ever did it at 60?

Whatever. The longevity of delusions never fail to entertain.

On the question, if 68 just means since Super Middle came into current existence, I'd say no one. Pre-1984, 68 was just weighing in light at Light Heavy and there are plenty of great Light Heavies I think beat him along with plenty of Middles.

This is taking it a bit too far. Middleweight is a strong division historically and Roy would have numerous challenges at that weight.

168 is more shallow in terms of all time greats that can defeat him.

As Hagler always just walked through people?

                    Completely agree.

The weight-loss thing has always been a nonsense argument to me and it could only explain the first fight after coming down.

I personally find it hard to imagine a Jones vs Benn fight with Benn landing nothing hard and getting stopped without by Roy Jones hardly breaking a sweat.

                    Not happening.

I can't envisage Greb beating Jones.

A wild swarmer is not a good style against Jones.
