Lucas is my boy too and I really think that Rios isn't really ready yet for the punching power and that aggressive counter punching style of Matthysse. Matthysse has more dimensions to his game then most at 140. Matthysse was able to outbox Judah and Alexander and walk down Soto and batter him on the inside. Rios is an excellent inside fighter, but after that not much else but punching power. Rios has a very leaky defense, below average handspped, and might not be able to carry his power up in weight.

Is Brandon Rios calling out my boy Lucas Matthysse?

Don't do it Brandon, the judges won't be able to save your overrated ass.
Agreed. Matthysse would knock Rios out. I don't agree Rios is overrated since he did beat some very good fighters at 135, but Matthysse has more things he can do in the ring and would be able to fight on the inside unlike most fighters at 135-140.

Matthysse did not outbox Judah,he lost that fight due to his inactivity...I also believe he lost that Alexander fight(although I had him winning that fight by a point)for the same reason..Everyone at 140lb has their flaws,it's who can capitalize on them..Soto was Matthysse most notable win, guess what Soto was a LW and had not done anything at 140lb..Now I like Lucas but let's not just hand this dude the div..I think Rios Alvarado Garcia(hell)Peterson all can give Matt's a tough fight..Not to mention beat him..

Jury is still out on if Lucas is the toughest at the weight(in terms of the best fighter there,no question he is a tough S.O.B.)but he'll get his chance soon enough...
