here's the difference between ward and manny, pay attention because its very simple. manny uses REHYDRATION CLAUSES and ward didnt thats difference. dawson was at least allowed to rehydrate 17 pounds. most of mannys rehydration limits are like several pounds and with de la hoya it was only 2. you would have to be crazy to think fighting below your normal weight and then not even being able to rehydrate properly isn't going to kill you.

Unlike a lot of people on the thread, some of us already knew the answer.. like I said a long time ago, losing 7 lbs like that effected Dawson severely.. You heard it here first.

Another person lying about rehydration clauses.

We definitely got our answer to this question. Dawson was badly affected.

Dawson was drained, however Ward did not drain him. The only fight Pacman was involved in that has any similarity to last night was Pacman Hoya.

now, if he's a zombie out there, the advantage will be to ward, but i dont think he'd sign up for that.

and cotto was 146 for clottey. the catchweight at 145 didn't help him, but it had nothing to do with the outcome of the pacquiao fight.
Cotto had a re-hydration clause and that.

They fought at the proper weight class for the title! Gee an amazing concept isnt it? Pac should try it sometime.

Dawson took a risk in coming down but thats his decision, the reward would have been him being a two division lineal champion. Since ward didnt move, he won but the reward is just a solid defense of his title. If he met at 175 and won it would make him two division lineal as well.

The guy moving in weight gets more reward for his risk. Someone fighting at a lower catchweight for their own title doesnt get any benefit at all for fighting lower. Cotto fighting at 145 against Pac ONLY benefits Pac.
