He needs to lose over 3 times more weight than Cotto did against Pacquiao.

All I care about is a fair fight, you can flush all your excuses down the toilet.
No. You said Ward is draining Dawson. That's a lie, point blank period.

Pacman did drain Cotto, that's a fact.

These situations are not compatible. Team Pacman, arum, sanctioning bodies forced Cotto to take the fight at a catchweight.

Dawson called out Ward & offered to fight him at 168. Facts, plain & simple. Far different.

if you said is dawson draining himself the same as when Pacman drained Cotto or worse, maybe then you'd have a case. But you said Ward drained Dawson, when he never did.

    • Does the 2 lbs against Pacman even matter? No way Cotto beats Manny, Manny is too fast for Cotto. Ward wins at 168 or 175 and any where in between. Ward is too good, well schooled, he wins easy 12 round decision. Dawson is good, but Ward is just better right now and can't see anyone right now that can beat Ward, Chad should have clean out the 175 division, which would have been easy. Chad is a big 175, no way going down in weight does anything but hurt him.

      • I'll tell you whats worse, Manny asking Miguel to fight him at 143.

interesting...the first link makes mention of roach wanting a penalty for cotto weighing past 147 for fight night, but that article was a month before the fight..second and fourth link you provided only talks about the weigh-in weight not fight night..and I didn't check the third one because it's some blogspot which anyone could have made.

this USAToday article which was posted a day before the fight states:

          http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxin...weigh-in_N.htm

"Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, said he expects his fighter to weigh about 149 for the fight, while Cotto could weigh as much as 158-160 pounds."

it makes no mention of that penalty for weighing past 147 for cotto. maybe roach backed down from that demand. I would think that USAToday is a much more credible source too. plus cotto did look pretty big against pac on fight night.

That's not fight night, it's a penalty for being overweight at the weighin.

You've made probably over a thousand posts ****ting on Pac for the Cotto cw. How come you've been saving bandwidth on these 3 much worse cw requests, for example?

              1. PWill asking to fight for Sergio's lineal title at a cw. And that's after dragging SM up to middle in the first place
              2. ODLH requesting to unify his (stolen) mw belt at a cw
              3. Cotto requesting to defend his sww belt and no 1 ring rating against a one eyed bum at a cw. It's gotta be unprecedented, don't you think?

              • Dawson wanted to face Ward at 168 for the publicity and the belts now if ward said ill only fight you at 165 then that would be like the pac situation unfairly and unnecessarily draing his opponent for an unfair advantage.

                • Dawson volunteered to fight at 168 for WARD's title. Manny demanded Cotto to fight at 145 for COTTO's 147 title. 168 is actually a weight class and 145 isn't. Not to mention Dawson said they can fight at 168 before negotiations even started, what was Ward to do? be like "No we're not fighting at 168, we're fighting at 175 or 172". That makes zero sense.

I would have liked the fight to be at 175 instead of 168 but Dawson did it to himself. But Cotto can't complain too much he agreed to take the fight even though it was at bi*ch demand by team Pacquiao. In both situations money talks and both fighters wanted the big money fight.

Those catchweights you mentioned are not much worse catchweights. Furthermore if you believe that the Cotto catchweight fight in particular is where my problems lay, you are terribly misinformed & should learn to comprehend what you read.

I was a fan of Pacman up until the Margarito fiasco. That's where the obvious Pacman resume became suspect. Cotto at a catchweight, Margarito at a catchweight, Marquez at a catchweight. The refusal to fight Cotto without a catchweight. All obvious signs of Pacman's refusal to fight dangerous fighters at their best.

How are they not worse, please explain.

PWill has initiated more CWs than Pac, including one for the lineal belt. Cotto requested a disgraceful one vs Marg, and just expressed interest in meeting wbo interim mw champ at 156. I don't see hundreds of your posts in the related threads, in fact where are those threads?
