His mind is still there, its his motor functions which have gone. I think it takes more pride and dignity to face the world with no shame than to hide from it. Just my opinion.

Classy words from Wlad by the way.

I disagree, when you're in such poor physical condition there's no dignity in parading around for the whole world to see, it's degrading. I don't think he would do it if he didn't have to.

Whats degrading about it? It's only degrading to the person who has a hang up about it. And no he doesn't need the money. I just did a quick search and Ali's net worth is 80 million. I think he does ot to inspire people, to let them know just because you have a disease you don't need to hide and be ashamed.

Ali has plenty of money since selling the rights to his name. personally I don't see this as degrading. Ali shows the world who he is like he has always done. It's no secret that he is ill.

As for why he is doing it, I believe the answer was in a post above that you probably didn't read:

I totally agree. I think they are both great, despite 90% of their fan base being on my ignore list, I do like them.

In one of his recent appearances the public reaction was pretty negative, most people were sad and uncomfortable and they felt the appearance was unnecessary : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1404472.html

I guess it's a matter of opinion. The man can barely speak, he's in a very sad and pitiful condition, I don't see what's positive about showing your deteriorating health.

My bad then, but if he's loaded why does he need to raise money?

Like I said above, it's a matter of opinion. I have the utmost respect for him and I don't wanna see him paraded around because I know a lot of people will mock and disrespect him or they will simply feel awkward.

Even though Ali is sick he's still showing great inner strength to go around the world to raise money for charity! Great champion and not just a boxing legend but a sporting legend.

Wlad K all class as usual
