How is Pac still ranked P4P #1 on BS?

HeroBrando, I'll concede that those cathweight requests are worse than Pacquiao's. But no one is trying to make out those fighters are the best of the best. Start a thread about the evils of catchweight requests and we'll see how that discussion goes.

Right here, we're discussing Pacquiao being rated the best fighter in the world despite not really dominating his division in the last couple of years (Mosley, Marquez and Bradley not being the best the division has had to offer). I'm not going to say Pacquiao's wins mean nothing but I do think under the circumstances, it's hard to make a case for him, unless he has an opponent and performance up his sleeve later this year. Can I say fairer than that?

i don't know what point you're trying to make. Pac's first catchweight request generated a thousand times more outrage than way more unreasonable cw requests by pwill, dlh, cotto did. Why?

How about my 3 examples of unreasonable catchweights, surely you agree they're worse than Pac Cotto? How come there's hardly a thread about any of these, where's the outrage?

Are any of the guys you made examples on ranked as the number 1 P4P? That should answer your question as to why the criticism on Pac being number 1 after needing special handicaping and consideration to obtain this rank(making smaller guys move up when they don't need to, and having special selected guys move down. Fact is Manny, regardless of the reason, uses catch-weights for an advantage to manupilate rep in his favor. Why do people feel the need to cover and deny this fact and try to differt attention to other fighters doing the same or similier thing? One has nothing to do with the other. Fact is Manny uses CW to his advantage. Wether others do it is doesn't change the fact as why Manny does it and thats the point. Besides isn't this thread about Manny anyway? Why don't you make a thread about the other examples you made and take your arguments there, then trying here to divert the attention off what Manny is being justifiably criticize for.

The amount of hate for Manny is disturbing. I look at the same posters and it's the same non-sense.

I can see a few comments here and there, but it seems like certain posters dedicated so much of there day thinking of ways to hate on Pacquiao (and Floyd when there are threads about him).

I hate guys like Donaire, JMM and Holyfield, but I rarely post about them and when I do it's a line here or there. On the other hand, there are posters on this site who's whole life seems to revolve around hating on another person.

Some of you guys are in need of some serious (psychiatric) help.

As long as we're clear double standards are at play. Were any of those guys in their 7th div? PWill was top 5, many people had him at 3, closing in on the tired old guard. Wasn't he the most feared fighter 147-160, not 147-157? Wasn't Cotto ranked no 1 in his division by the ring? Why would he need a cw against a divisional bum with 1 good eye?
