Lennox Lewis was a great fighter. He might be one of the 10 best fighters to come from America, but he's certainly not one of the 10 best from Britain. It's hugely insulting to suggest that Lennox Lewis is the best ever English fighter, when every sane person knows that Ted 'Kid' Lewis is by far the best ever English fighter.

When you've got Bob Fitzsimmons, Jimmy Wilde, Ted 'Kid' Lewis, Jack 'Kid' Berg, Benny Lynch, Ken Buchanan, Freddie Welsh, Jim Driscoll, Randy Turpin etc, then Lennox Lewis does not belong in that company..

Jack 'Kid' Berg is a better English fighter than Lennox Lewis, he was the first man to beat the legendary Kid Chocolate (Sugar Ray Robinson's idol), and Owen Moran is a better English fighter than Lennox Lewis for crossing the Atlantic and knocking out the great Battling Nelson as well as a pair of draws with the great Abe Attell.
