(in no particular order) Conteh, Graham, Honeyghan, Buchanan, Lewis, top five, next candidates are Mason, Turpin, Mc Auley, Mike Watson etc.

Frank Bruno, greatest British heavyweight ever, he`d have beaten Lewis but he was roobed by an early stoppage. He gave Tyson his toughest fight ever up to that point in his career and defeated the fearsome Oliver McCall to win the world title. His record littered with big time heavyweights such as Jumbo Cummings, James Tillis, Jesse Freguson. Its like roll call of the hall of fame.
By far and away the best of British!

          Lewis always No.1

I don't agree with the comment about Frank Bruno only losing due to an early atoppage. He looked extremely good against Lewis and was winning the fight at the time of the ko but Lewis had about 15 unanswered shots to Bruno and he didn't know where he was. There was no other decision but to stop the fight.

That said I do believe Frank should be in the top 5 no doubt about it nevermind top 10. Lewis was the greatest boxer britain has ever had or ever likely to have and should definitely be number 1.

I agree that Ted 'Kid' Lewis was a great fighter, but Bob Fitzsimmons and Jimmy Wilde would maybe be ahead of him.

As for Lennox Lewis, he's nowhere near the top 10 all-time British fighters.

Herol Graham gets my vote as best post-war British boxer, I don't know if anybody would of beaten him.

Come on Kimmy, i thought you were one of the more intelligent posters on this site, Bruno was winning, and fighting the fight of his life, but when Lews caught him he was completly done. If Bruno hadn't of been chinny who knows he may have won some of the fights he lost, but he was chinny, it's as simple as that.
