Maidana is no threat at 147. I expect him to be back at 140 soon. It seems as if his managers were afraid of the Thurman fight.

Soto Karass is too big for Maidana IMO
I was surprised though that Rosada stopped the teak-tough Karass.

His manager's made the right decision I think. Maidana already has name recognition in the sport and Thurman doesn't. It would of been a high risk, no reward fight for Maidana. It would not be smart of Maidana's team to throw him with a solid welterweight such as Thurman after just coming off a loss.

After watching Thurman fight this weekend, he would of easily kicked Maidana's a*s for sure. Maidana doesn't have the body for welterweight. He should stay at 140lbs and fight the likes of Danny Garcia and Brandon Rios.

I agree. Maidana is all power and strength. Once he moves up he has to rely on intangibles he doesnt posess. Rios will run into this problem too either now or at 147. Jccjr at 168, kirkland at 160, etc.

add to that Maidana is smaller than people realize and IMO SK might be too tough for Chino to overcome
