no theory here fighters have done it tim bradley didn't vacate but was stripped!! after deciding not to face khan and wait on the pac fight.
he was criticized ect ect but he still made the right business decision(notice i said business not praising his decision) im sure al and his team did the same with ramos and decided it was a better decision than to take the fight rather than vacate or be stripped which is all im simply saying.
fighters don't fight for belts anymore they fight to make there names big enough to get the biggest fight out there.
should all fighters fight their mandos? sure, but does it happen often? no, it rarely does especially when they're as dangerous as rigondeax.
exactly tests obviously he graded fine enough to be put in with khan my only point here.
we will continue to disagree aslong as you use titles, mandos and title defenses to range a fighters current place in there careers it's impossible to determine that nowadays. because of how easy it is for a fighter to get a belt and how easy it is for a fighter to retain it.
where did i state this he was above critism? all i did was take a list of his fighters and examine from my point of view of how he did with there careers so far i give him a A- or B+.
i think he makes them step up at the right time and as we see with garcia and jossito it's paying off.
my mistake i thought you were referring to garcia.
from my point of view in the jmm vs hamed case hamed was the bigger name while jmm was the bigger threat which is why hamed didn't fight jmm.
ramos vs rigo case rigo bigger name and bigger threat it's a win win fight for ramos, my only argument here is that he had options like a lot of fighters chose which is to vacate or be stripped.
i doubt it means much to him now as he lost it but im sure he felt it legitimized his career but do you think him beating rigo or retaining his belt would've been better for his career?
I never said quillin was being put in risky or anything just that he looked more impressive in a fight he was suppose to.
I've seen 3 of trout fights, let's just look at it this way with trout i'll bookmark this thread and you do the same whenever his next opponent is named we 'll then know whether al and his team thinks he's a prospect or a fighter in his prime ready for the top dogs. deal?????????
was it not a great fight ??????/it was, did it take to long for berto to face a opponent of ortiz's caliber. hell yes but the fight was a great fight with two quality fighters at the peak of there primes.
you're biggest gripe seems to be with not the quality of opposition haymon fighters face but with the fact of how there getting these big fights without earning them ,am i correct?
well if i was you in this day n age of boxing i wouldn't let it bug me as long as were getting some good or great fights.
that's your opinion.
