Comments Thread For: Thurman: I'd Love To Mix It Up With Malignaggi, Bradley

Welterweight contender Keith Thurman (18-0, 17KOs) made his HBO debut on Saturday night, stopping Mexican veteran Orlando Lora (29-3) in six rounds at the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. Following the contest, Thurman said that he was ready to fight all comers at 147-pounds. Thurman feels ready to challenge one of the welterweight champions. Two boxers that are certainly on his radar - WBO champion Timothy Bradley and WBA beltholder Paulie Malignaggi.

Thurman looked good, but Lora is not that good. Would have liked to have seen Thurman vs Maidana, that would have been good. Thurman did good for a first time on HBO, will watch any of his fights. He picked 2 soft punchers to call out, didn't he call out Mayweather also?

HBO could make, "One Time" vs Maidana fight now,

Thurman already got some exposure, and he finished Lora in an exciting fashion,
so the Maidana fight, is a fight that HBO can explore.

And it will be a good test, and relatively safe for Polamalu Haye, Maidana has no movement and doesn't bring his power at Welter.

It will be a good learning experience, and a great fight on HBO.

Yeah he did call him out on the post fight interview,

And he picked 2 soft punchers, that can outbox and make a lot of boxers in their divisions look silly, a Malignaggi fight will be good, but I prefer for him a Maidana fight, for all the backgroung that such a fight has now (Maidana ducking him, etc.).

I didn't think he was all that impressive. Actually, his post game commentary was more exciting than his fighting. I will be tuning in to see if he can improve. I did like his body work, that is for sure

he sounds like a huge tool. I'm all for bigger personalities, but he's just annoying. Dude talks with a lisp.
