Idk coincidence? Like the other guy said, thought he could pull off another quick one?

Now explain to me Escobedo's tears and saying he just wanted a fair fight. You think he would be complaining if they knew Broner wasn't gonna make weight?

Is there a reason for your cussing? Am I supposed to be scared or something? I mean, you said you're not a fan but you're getting offended and trying to defend him.

lightspeed, I disagree. Im a huge huge huge Broner fan but this was nothing but a scam in regards to the weight. IDK why Ben Thompson and others keep talking about them telling the other team that they wouldnt make weight a couple of days before. So what. People act like thats a month before.

Even 2 days before is still way too late. So what if he knows by then? Then training is already done. Its too late for the fight to be fair. Ofcourse the guy has to take the fight because he's not the star, he's receiving a ton of pressure from HBO to showup for the TV fight, and he needs the money.

The 10 pound thing was also clearly a sham. There is no misunderstaning at the highest level. Everyone knows the 10 pound rule. There is no doubt in my mind that Esco's team told him to come in at 140 the next morning. They already know he missed weight so the least he can do is that.

Dont fall for everything you hear and the spin. Its obvious that Broner's team knows the rule so they try to do as much as they could get away with and spin it. They knew they could still get the fight set and wanted the best Broner as possible so they went 10 pounds from 143 since they knew they could spin it like "oh, I thought you meant 10 pounds from our weigh-in".

It was an obvious sham because they could play dumb but nothing would happen because they were the big name and sure enough it worked. Again, why did Broner's team up the money then? You think they would pay more if they were right? They wouldve told Esco's team to shove it and they arent paying anythng.

They knew that they spun it. Everyone knew. They had to up it a 2nd time because they knew that it was suppose to only be 140 but they rather it be 143 and feel comfortable then to worry about a few dollars when they will make millions in the future anyways

        Coincidence? lol Come on man.

I think Escobedo was really pissed off about Broner coming in overweight for the second weigh in, that combined with his first KO loss and the time away from his newborn baby = tears.

I'm not offended at all I just cuss a lot, didn't think it would bother you fam.

You already know I'm not a fan, Gamboa would tap that ass.

It's possible that Broner and his team are lying but why would he say on TV that Esbodeo's team already knew he wasn't gonna make weight? I don't think anybody from Escobedo's camp has denied it.

I agree it's still messed up to do it at the last minute but it's different from just being overweight without informing your opponent.

Maybe they're playing dumb with this 133->143 thing, but I don't think Broner would play with his money like that. Had Escobedo pulled out it would have hurt Broner's pockets and reputation.

how much weight do you think broner rehydrates overnight? i dont think he did that on purpose, that's what just happened. if there is no 2nd weigh in he would still enter at 148 or 147 by fight night. and 2nd weigh in was just half a day away from the fight and i believe it just happen that broner came at 143.5lbs.
i still feel bad for escobedo and broner didnt really apologize to him in front of the public but instead carried on with his damn ******dd proposal thing and kinda proud of what he did. I also didnt really like it when floyd came overweight against marquez esp both broner and floyd knows they have the huge advantage already even at the right weight.
those are fools and too far from what u called greatness.

You should be asking, why WOULDNT they lie about it? Also think about this, Escobedo was paid off to fight pretty much. What are the chances they told him to play along? This whole world is a conspiracy man. Haymon pays off Escobedo tells him we're gonna say this and that and you just play along. Then Haymon goes to HBO and tells them hey we did this and that. Then HBO comes up with their bs story talking about it was a misunderstanding. This way people will buy into it and justify Broner coming in overweight a second time.

And yes, coincidence could be a very good possibility. But whatever man, yesterday I saw the flaws in this man's game unlike Floyd's. His time will come soon. Karma is real and it's coming to get him.

It could have been a misunderstanding, but I would thought it would have been drafted in a contract and finalised by any legal team if it was talked about before the fight and not the day of the fight ?
